#26 Top Rated Seller Tip-Crop the Photos

Way back in the early 80's when I was taking photography courses one of the first things they taught was to get as close to your subject as you thought you should be and then move a couple of steps closer. The only thing you want in your photo is the subject(s). I am constantly amazed when I see photos of shirt on a hanger hanging on a doorknob with a broom in the corner & a wall plug. If the photographer had either gotten closer or cropped the image I would have never known that there was a door knob, broom or a wall plug. Any item in your photo that you are not selling is not only a waste of space but takes the buyers eyes away from what you are selling.
With digital photography getting close to your subject is not near as important as it was in the 80's when all photography was film. Now if you fail to get close enough to your subject it is very easy to crop out all the unwanted stuff with software. All digital cameras come with software that allow you to this, plus there are numerous sites online that allow you to edit your photos for free. My favorite online photo editing site is picnik.com. Check it out by clicking on this graphic.
