#53 Top Rated Seller Tip-Do NOT trust the eBay message system

I recently discovered I was not getting e-mails from eBay when someone made an offer on one of my items. I have always gotten them in the past and was surprised I was no longer getting them. When i checked my preferences I found I was  signed up to get them. They are going in my eBay messages but are not being sent to my e-mail address.

This is not that big of a problem for me because I am on the site every day for several hours and am checking everything constantly. (That is one advantage of being mildly OCD) Below is a screen shot of the upper left hand corner of my browser. As you can see on my Bookmarks Toolbar are links to my sold items, my unsold items, items currently being offered for sale, offers, Selling Manager, feedback and eBay Store. I am just one-click away from almost anything I need to know about my eBay account.

If you do not have a similar setup I heartily recommend you check your eBay messages at least once a day in order to be sure you are not missing out on any important notifications.

A majority of AuctionBytes readers were negatively impacted by changes eBay rolled out on March 30. We surveyed over 1,200 sellers to learn more about who was affected by the changes of Store-in-Core. Did some sellers actually benefit by the changes? Read the results to find out!
